Bay of Gemiler-Island

After a visit to Kayakoy we drive to Gemiler-Beach where we cross to Gemiler-Island by boat. Because the church of St. Nicholas is on this island people also call it St. Nicholas Island. The island is full with ruins and historical treasures from different periods. Because of an earthquake in 240 AD. the island sunk a bit so you can see even under the waterline interesting things. The trip ends in Gemiler-Beach where we swim and relax.
